It has been a while since I last made a post and this mainly due to the business working life which I currently hold. I am still working within my role in enterprise architecture and design for wholesale finance. Recently I have started numerous new projects looking at commercial aspects of the bank; my work focuses mainly on improving current banking processes through the introduction of new technology. Whilst I am incredibly busy I am still enjoying the placement and I am being supported well by my line manager in terms of personal development.

I am now in the sixth week on the graduate scheme at Lloyds Banking Group and it has certainly been a great learning curve. The team I am working in is highly technical and this has meant numerous challenges for me. Working in an area that I have never done so before has proven to be an interesting opportunity. One of the main things that stand out in particular is the high competence and expertise of the people I am working with; they are regarded as being the best in the industry by many banks! I am really thrilled to have been accepted on to the Business Technology stream at Lloyds Banking Group. My first role will be as a Portfolio Architect within EAD Wholesale; I will be based in London. I have already had several conversations with my line manager and I am now eager to start work. [More]
